Adelaide Airport breaks ground on new expansion

Adelaide Airport has kicked off the next phase of its Airport Junction with a groundbreaking on the new freight and logistics precinct.

Airport Junction is the new freight and logistics precinct located adjacent to the runway and key freight networks which allows runway-to-road access in four minutes.

The new precinct is expected to generate $250 million and support the state’s growing freight industry by creating up to 1800 jobs.

Adelaide Airport managing director Brenton Cox and Transport Minister Joe Szakacs launched the commencement of the precinct’s subdivision works last Thursday.

“This is one of the most significant inner-metropolitan development opportunities in Adelaide in the past 20 years, offering seamless access to our airside areas and off-airport freight network. You can’t get your freight any closer to the runway without being on a plane,” Cox said.

It would be a two-year course focused on helping professionals apply AI strategically and leverage the technology to improve decision-making and drive productivity.

“Artificial intelligence is shifting workforce expectations and fundamentally changing the way businesses operate. It is vital that business education evolves alongside these changes and our new MBA AI offering does just that,” MBA director Dr Afshin Tanouri said.

“The West End brand has been synonymous with South Australian cricket for decades, and its legacy will always be part of our story. This evolution represents a renewed focus on the future for our partnership,” SACA CEO Charlie Hodgson said.

The 2026 State Landcare Conference will be held on October 16 and 17 at Murray Bridge, with local groups, Traditional Owners, industry, and government coming together to share ideas and strengthen partnerships on grassroots land care initiatives.
