Three local companies have joined the ranks of the top ten in this year’s South Australian Business Index, as the event celebrates a major milestone.

The 2024 edition of the South Australian Business Index will be InDaily’s tenth – a major milestone for the event.
While there’s little surprise at which company takes out the top spot year on year, the remainder of the list is subject to fluctuations as new entrants grow and larger businesses exit after massive sales.
This year will be no different. While we’re tight-lipped on the makeup of the list until the event later this month, InDaily can reveal that there are three companies in the top 10 that weren’t there last year.
Further, there’s one company that has risen by 49 positions from 2023, landing it in the top 50.
The tenth year of the South Australian Business Index also coincides with a major anniversary for Solstice Media, which has given readers the inside scoop about the biggest corporate movers and shakers for 20 years.
Though the ranking has become a go-to resource for business leaders in the state, InDaily editorial director Jim Plouffe said the South Australian Business Index was about more than just the list.
“The annual lunch is also an opportunity for the state’s tight-knit business community to get together and do what Adelaide does best: collaborate,” Plouffe said.
“While the South Australian Business Index recognizes the role these companies play in our local economy, the data also uncovers important industry and employment trends and is the insider’s guide to doing business in SA.
“In an economy fluctuating more than ever before, it’s crucial to keep up with the latest activity. Now you can do it from virtually anywhere. The South Australian Business Index is a must for anyone wanting to do business in South Australia.”
