A man has died after crashing his motorcycle into a freight train at Germein Bay.

The accident occurred just before 11am on Sunday morning.
Patrols and emergency services were called to the rail crossing on Causeway Road, just north of Port Pirie, but were unable to revive the 63-year-old Western Australian man who died at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours while investigators examined the area but it has since been reopened to all traffic.
The man’s death is the 57th life lost on our roads, compared with 76 for the same time last year.
